Manager- Fraud Analytics

We are looking for Manager- Fraud Analytics to join a growing client in Pune, India.



  • Masters or PhD in one or more of the following quantitative disciplines, i.e. Statistics,  Quantitative Finance or other Quantitative discipline from Tier 1 institutions
  • Candidates with industry certifications (FRM, PRM, CFA etc.) are preferred
  • Extensive experience within a telecommunications organisation, ideally having spent at least the last 3-5 years in a managerial position within fraud risk analytics
  • Advanced analytical skills and strong experience in one or more of analytical tools such as SAS, R, SQL, Excel/ VBA etc.
  • The use of data analytics and statistical techniques to optimise rules and strategies within fraud management systems.



  • Undertaking fraud trends analysis, monitoring of key fraud metrics and the reporting and investigation of fraud trends
  • The development of strategies to detect and prevent fraud, across the customer lifecycle e.g. predictive models, high risk rules etc.
  • The maintenance of fraud detection and prevention strategies
  • The identification of new insight  to improve and enhance the fraud detection measures already in place
  • Manage, oversee and deliver fraud analytics projects which may involve model development, validation, governance, implementation, and end-to-end delivery of fraud detection and prevention solutions
  • Conduct fraud analytics training for stakeholders as per business needs
  • Develop and enhance relationships with internal and external partners to ensure effective execution of the strategies
  • Help prepare and deliver business cases to justify the introduction of new (or updates to existing) fraud prevention and detection strategies
  • Recommend suggested fraud solutions to stakeholders which will address issues and opportunities identified through analysis
  • Be prepared to stand by your conclusions and have confidence in what you are presenting, including explaining your findings to someone who may have a different opinion on what the data means, and what the solution could be. Be prepared to explain your findings to those with less of a statistical or mathematical background to you.
  • Work on your own initiative, if you identify anything out of the ordinary, work to understand the underlying issues and bring them to the attention of the team with recommendations as to what the business would need to change to solve the problem.


Skills & Experience 

  • Exposure to statistical predictive modelling and regression analysis is preferable
  • Experience in extracting, aggregating and structuring large volumes of data along different dimensions
  • Experience working in fraud and knowledge of telecommunications products and services
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and handle objections.
