Development Manager

We are looking for Development Manager to join a growing client in Pune, India.

 

Job Requirements

  • Comply with internal regulations, procedures, Company and management orders and manuals
  • Follows strictly all development processes at the Company
  • Responsible for the morale and coaching/mentoring of the development team
  • Responsible for the quality of output from the Client India operation
  • Responsible for the productivity, efficiency and utilization  of the Development team
  • Senior point of liaison between the  India office and Headquarters
  • A dispute arbitrator as required between India staff internally, and between India and the HQ
  • Report informally on a regular basis and formally on a monthly basis issues, relating to the India operation as required
  • Provide monthly management metrics
  • Write and deliver performance evaluation and appraisal of staff
  • Performance management of underperforming staff, including liaison with local HR team as required, ensuring consistent and clear communication with the HQ staff on such issues.
  • Promptly escalates issues to his/her manager
  • Participates at the Company meetings
  • The individual at this role will be required to travel to the UK or other country occasionally, for the purposes of training and knowledge transfer. All travel will be kept to a minimum necessary. All travel expenses will be cost of the Company and will be proceeded in accordance with the local low requirements
  • Represent the company to the highest standards at all times.
  • Refer all queries outside sphere of knowledge to appropriate contact or line manager.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • To provide guidance and control of the assigned Development teams and to execute agreed levels of development, as required by the operational and strategic demands of the business.
  • To use all tools, skills and resources available to implement a program of constant improvement in operation and cost efficiencies.
  • To mitigate risk through the correct reporting to direct management of required enablers, risks and issues and the appropriate solutions.
  • The role is expected to work closely with Solution Strategist, Design and Development management.
  • The person on this role should be able to communicate clearly and precisely in both written and spoken environments.
  • The objective of this role is to ensure that an effective and pleasant working environment is maintained at all times and that any deficiencies are addressed promptly.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Company’s services/products and organizational structure.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of potential/current sales pipeline.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current Processes & Policies of the Company.
  • To visit and contribute on a regular basis to the company Wiki
  • To notify Line Manager of any business opportunities
  • To understand latest testing best practice and standards
  • To understand and recommend (where necessary) testing tools and advise on realistic efficiency programmes
